Induction for Professional Tutors – 5th May 2021, Ilminster
A fully funded session for Professional Tutors (PTs) and Class Teachers in Primary Schools, who take Somerset SCITT trainees for their school experience placements during the academic year 2020-2021.
This session is for new and existing PTs, Class Teachers and those who would like to update their knowledge of having a SCITT trainee within the school.

The training will enable professional tutors, class teachers and others to:
- Empower trainees;
- Act as a critical friend;
- Set high expectations;
- Build resilience;
- Develop trainees’ reflection and evaluative skills;
- Understand Somerset SCITT paperwork.
Booking information
This is a fully funded session for all Professional Tutors and Class Teachers to attend.
Attendance will qualify the placement school to receive a one off additional placement fee.
Tea, coffee and water is provided during the course, however lunch is not provided.
